Video game marketing firm 1SP Agency has acquired B2B matchmaking and event platform MeetToMatch for an undisclosed fee.

Those partners include upcoming events such as Pocket Gamer Connects, BitSummit, and Develop: Brighton.
Fedor van Herpen, co-founder of MeetToMatch, said the deal will enable the platform to scale faster, expand globally, and unlock new opportunities beyond the core video game industry.
"For event organizers, this means greater reach, deeper connections, and increased business impact. With strong backing for continued platform development, the partnership ensures a robust, future-proof solution designed to foster meaningful business relationships," said van Herpen.
"Together, we now have the financial means and development power and are building a true Swiss Army knife for doing business across the games and digital entertainment industries, and we are looking forward to announcing the next phase of the MeetToMatch platform soon."
MeetToMatch's new owners want to make game industry networking "faster, smarter, and more effective"Speaking to Game Developer about the deal, 1SP managing director Torsten Oppermann explained the company's near-term vision for MeetToMatch includes enhancing its core networking capabilities to create even more value for event organizers and users.
"We will accelerate feature releases that improve CRM capabilities across events, seamless scheduling, rich attendee profiles, and intuitive event navigation—ensuring users find relevant connections before, during and after each event," he added.
"MeetToMatch already helps participants schedule meaningful 1:1 meetings and fosters engagement through built-in messaging and meeting functionality; our plan is to build on these strengths to make networking faster, smarter, and more effective."
In the long-term, 1SP intends to transform MeetToMatch into a "global go-to platform" for professional matchmaking across in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
"This means continued investment in smarter recommendations, CRM and dealtracking features, deeper integrations with customer tech stacks, analytics dashboards for organizers, and event community features that extend engagement between event organizers and their delegates year-round," continued Oppermann.
Notably, MeetToMatch co-founder and COO Ansgar Smith said the platform will remain just as committed to protecting user data under its new owners.
"MeetToMatch services—much like other networking platforms in this category—are designed with privacy and security by default, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR for all user data," he added.
"Rest assured that MeetToMatch is not selling private data and we are not risking leaking such data to public AI services. We maintain clear data governance policies at group level—including transparent terms of service and privacy notices—so users always understand how their data is handled and protected throughout their networking experience."
