Update [2/13/26]: 10 Chambers has cut a number of roles as part of a "significant restructuring" that has even impacted several of the studio's co-founders.

A spokesperson for the Swedish studio confirmed the news in a statement to Game Developer and said the layoffs will impact a "large number" of employees. They added that 10 Chambers must reorganize in order to position upcoming shooter Den of Wolves for success.

"We can confirm that were taking a hard look at how we work and how the studio is set up, so Den of Wolves can become the game it deserves to be. This unfortunately means a significant restructuring of the studio, impacting a large number of roles, including several of the studios co-founders," they explained.

"We recognize these changes are difficult, and were approaching them thoughtfully. Out of respect for everyone involved, we wont comment on individual situations. We remain focused on the vision of Den of Wolves. Ulf Andersson and Simon Viklund remain fully committed to the game and to leading the studio forward. When we have more concrete news to share, well do it through our official channels."

Original story [2/12/26]: GTFO and Den of Wolves developer 10 Chambers has reportedly laid off staff.

Via LinkedIn, the 10 Chambers team lead programmer mentioned a "recent restructure" at the studio in a post earlier today, indicating that "there are a lot of incredibly talented, experienced, and genuinely great people now exploring new opportunities."

"After just over a year working at 10 Chambers I find myself with this cool green border on my LinkedIn again!," reads a LinkedIn post from one impacted employee.

"This wasnt on my 2026 bingo card, but here we are wearing the green LinkedIn banner for a while," another employee wrote. A third source who worked at 10 Chambers for over two years said they've "unfortunately been affected by recent changes," mentioning the volatility of the game industry as of late.

In addition, Hjalmar Vikström, co-founder and chief development officer of the studio, reposted the team lead programmer's post, saying that "if you are looking for talent that is experienced and readily available, look no further!

Yesterday, Vikström announced his departure from the studio after a decade. According to his LinkedIn post, he "said goodbye" to the company last week. Two of the sources wrote about their reported layoffs two days ago, but one of them wrote their post last week. Vikström, however, didn't mention being part of the reported restructure, nor clarified the reason for his departure.

"If you know me you've heard this before: Making games is hard," he wrote. "And these past years have taken their toll. But thinking back I'm proud of how we managed to punch above our weight and deliver GTFO."

The reported round of job cuts would be the second one in two years. In February 2024, 10 Chambers confirmed layoffs as part of "changes to our organization" to TechRadar Gaming. At the time, CEO Ulf Andersson stated that five roles at the company had been disbanded.

Game Developer has contacted 10 Chambers for clarification on the matter.
