Clair Obscur and Dispatch lead BAFTA Game Awards 2026 nominations
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Dispatch are leading the BAFTA Game Awards 2026 nominee list with 12 and nine nominations each, respectively.
As announced at the end of last week, the nominee selection for the 22nd BAFTA Game Awards spans across 42 titles. Following the leading games are Ghost of Yotei with eight nominations, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach with seven, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with six, and Arc Raiders with five.
Game Beyond Entertainment, a notable category that rewards studios raising awareness through empathy and emotional impact or engaging with real-world problems, includes The Alters, and Roger, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Consume Me, despelote, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Nine out of the 12 nominees in the performance categories are receiving their first BAFTA nomination, including the likes of Aaron Paul and Jeffrey Wright for Dispatch and Ben Starr, Charlie Cox, Jennifer English, and Kirsty Rider for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Then, 17 studios are nominated for the first time, including six in Debut Game.
"This year's nominations reflect an industry reshaping itself—with a vibrant mix of established studios standing alongside a wide range of independent studios, and a number of development teams earning nominations for the first time," chair of BAFTA's Games Committee Tara Saunders said in the announcement.
"The exceptional craft, artistry and innovation behind these titles shines through. A nomination is an extraordinary achievement, and I extend my warmest congratulations to every nominee for their innovation, hard work and resilience."
The BAFTA Game Awards 2026 will be held on April 17, 2026, in London.
