Here's where to find Game Developer at the GDC Festival of Gaming!

访客7小时前news387

We're somehow already half way through the event, but with the Festival Hall expo floor of GDC Festival of Gaming is officially in full swing! The Game Developer editorial team of Danielle Riendeau, Chris Kerr, Bryant Francis, and myself (plus a few wonderful freelancer writers!) are hard at work interviewing developers and covering sessions (and wearing out our favorite pairs of shoes in the process).

There's a lot going on at GDC this year, whether you're at the show or catching up on the latest juicy tidbits from home. For folks at the show, it can sometimes feel like you need to be in three places at once to hit everything on your agenda. We know. We triple-booked ourselves too.

Read GDC Talk Highlights & Interviews from the Show

To alleviate some of that FOMO, we'll be camping out in as many talks as we can and publishing writeups on what we hear. Keep an eye on our GDC Festival of Gaming event page this week and beyond to read the latest out of the event. We're also chatting with developers, publishers, and other game industry figures throughout the week to hear perspectives on industry trends, talk the latest innovations, and generally share a love of video games. Some of those interviews you can already find here on Game Developer, and some you can watch live in the Festival Hall this week.

Listen to the Game Developer Podcast Live

Game Developer Podcast host Bryant Francis will be running live podcast episodes every day from now until the show closes, and you can even listen in live! He and a few guests of honor will be camped out in GDC's new live podcasting station in the GDC Commons area right to the right of the escalators descending from South Hall.

The booth is clear enclosure equipped with headphones so attendees can have a seat and listen in to live recordings from the Game Developer Podcast (and others!) throughout the week. Find Bryant and the Game Developer Podcast there Wednesday at 2:00 PM PT with Owlchemy Labs CEO Andrew Eiche, Thursday at 12:00 PM PT with game writer Alexa Ray Corriea, and Friday at 11:30 AM PT with the full GD editorial team for a GDC debrief.

Settle in for Live Game Developer Interviews

Just around the corner, you can sit down on a legitimately comfortable bench seat to watch live interviews on the GDC Commons Stage. I'll be there from now until Friday interviewing developers, publishers, and tools providers to share their expertise with GDC attendees, and we'll be bringing those recorded interviews to the website in the coming weeks.

Find me there Wednesday at 4:00 to speak with Game Republic managing director Jamie Sefton and PitStop Productions CEO John Sanderson about UK-US game development trends, then again at 5:00 with UKIE CEO Nick Poole for a deeper at the future of UK-US development team-ups. We'll have interviews from this morning posted to the site in the coming weeks, including chats with Moon Studios CEO Thomas Mahler and Big Blue Sky Games publishing head Aaron Boulding, as well as a conversation with Irdeto on the future of game security.

On Thursday at 3:30 PM we'll be chatting with the folks from Helpshift on their new approach to support, engagement, community, and trust & safety. On Friday we'll close things out with two more interviews: a chat with the quadruple-threat writer, narrative designer, producer, and production director Amanda Farough at 12:30 PM, and an interview with Balor Games general manager of new games initiatives Alyssa Walles at 2:00 PM.
