Newsbrief: Long-time Grammy nominee Austin Wintory has become a Grammy winner.

The veteran composer was awarded the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Video Games and other Interactive Media last night for his work on Sword of the Sea.

Wintory has been nominated for multiple Grammys during his career—including for his work on Journey, which was nominated well before the event introduced a dedicated video game category in 2023.

Past winners of the award include Stephanie Economou (Assassin's Creed Valhalla); Gordy Haab and Stephen Barton (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor); and Winifred Phillips (Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord).
