Newsbrief: Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed 5 million sales worldwide in under a week.

That's according to developer and publisher Capcom, which said the title managed to successfully elevate the "essence of survival horror" to strike a chord with players.

Requiem was built on Capcom's proprietary RE Engine and launched on February 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The milestone means the Resident Evil franchise has now sold over 183 million units globally.
